HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Had a full day today. It was quite nice.

Went to my high school for Alumni Day. Went with my friend Maggie. Saw some old friends, bothered all the teachers we wanted to bother... it was good times. Went to a diner afterward for lunch, then after that we went back to Kberg to pick up Maggie's brother after school.

Went back to Maggie's place and me and her watched Supernatural all afternoon. It was awesomeeee. Watched a bunch of season 2 episodes. Fun times. Damn, I love the Trickster. I wish I had season 3, I wanna watch some Mystery Spot. That's such a great episode.

After that, dinner with Maggie's fam. They are so hilarious and awesome, I need to have dinner with them more often.

After dinner, Maggie and I had no idea what else to do with ourselves so we decided to go see New Moon on a whim.

MY THOUGHTS ON NEW MOON

I liked it. :|

Now, I didn't actually read the book so the only things I knew about it were through parodies, comics, and cleolinda. As in, my knowledge was "EDWARD LEAVES, BELLA IS SAD AND THERE ARE BLANK PAGES YEAH WAY TO KILL TREES SMEYER, JACOB'S THERE, EVERYONE DECIDES TO COMMIT SUICIDE YEAH I DUNNO"

What I really liked, first of all, was that is was better stylistically than Twilight. It generally looked better (the long shots of everyone staring were a bit excessive but eh whatever I'm just happy that fucking blue tint is gone), the vampire running was done better, the wolves could have looked worse, and the dialogue wasn't as weird. Also I really liked the soundtrack.

Second of all, Edward was gone for a lot of the movie which was awesome because auuugh his lipstick and abuse no thank you

Third and best? JACOB'S ABS. Oh god the kid is fucking gorgeous I don't even care I don't even care. It was even better when he cut off his hair. With the long hair I was like "he's so cute omg" and then when it was short it was like getting struck by a bolt of DO WANT. Not only that, Jacob in general is so much more desirable than Edward in that he actually has a healthy and wholesome relationship with Bella. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW SHE CAN CHOOSE EDWARD. I mean, I know in book 3 Jacob becomes kind of an asshole but that's because Smeyer is a douchebag and made him OOC I REFUSE TO BELIEVE ASSHOLE JACOB IS THE ~TRUE~ JACOB FUCK YOU SMEYER

And the Volturi? Fucking awesome. They were so crazy.

So yeah, even though Bella was kind of infuriating and Edward existed, I liked it. I'm def gonna see it again. Maybe next time I won't be so distracted by Jacob's abs and maybe I can actually be snarky. The furthest I got was saying "Good fucking job, Edward" after he SHOVES BELLA INTO GLASS to protect her from Jasper. Like, seriously, GOOD FUCKING JOB SHOVING THE APPARENT LOVE OF YOUR LIFE ACROSS THE FUCKING ROOM AND INJURING HER YOU DUMB SHIT

Oh and put your fucking shirt on Edward Cullen you are pale and hideous

I am in a good mood.

Thanksgiving vacation has started, I'm going back to visit my high school tomorrow for Alumni Day, and I've started my second readthrough of It. I was going to read 'Salem's Lot again (4th or 5th time, don't quite remember which) buuut Pennywise called to me. After that, either 'Salem's Lot or The Stand (which I have not read yet which mom keeps telling me to read, haha).

Man, I love Stephen King.

Speaking of, I read Rose Madder again and this time around I loved it. I even liked the epilogue. So now I can say with 100% sincerity that I've never met a Stephen King book I didn't like.

Well, I have to be up bright and early tomorrow so I think I'll read a bit more of It then go to bed.

Oh man and now that I think about it I wish I hadn't left my DVD of It in my dorm room. That movie was so so bad but so so good. Oh well.

So! I got into this debate about religion and homosexuality with this guy on deviantArt. This girl made a stamp that basically said God loves everyone- gay, straight, transsexual, etc- and I replied and gushed with agreement and and slight anecdata. Artist comments back with some similar slight anecdata. All is good and happy.

Guy replies to my comment and basically says, "Oh yeah well I'm not saying I hate gay people and God hates gay people but... well, I hate gay people and God hates gay people."

He posts one lone link and generalizes all over the place and seems to think that unless a gay person has been scientifically studied, their experiences don't count. He also says homosexuality and pedophilia are comparable, which is just stupid. I'm surprised I remained as patient as I did. He's also shit-stirring in other comments.

I'm indeed not going to reply back to him because I've been thinking about his replies all day and they've been distracting me and making me feel upset and I want him out of my mind. In other news, two classes tomorrow and then back home for Thanksgiving, woohoo. Also gonna see New Moon sometime this weekend. I am planning on yelling "FURSPLOSION" at every opportune moment. I hope I can anger some Twihards, that would be just fab.

Speaking of, I am excited for cleolinda to post New Moon in fifteen minutes. I love her, I want to marry her. ♥

speaking of I had a dream two nights ago that was part silent hill. at the end I was in an elevator (I was either pushed in or I was a giant doofus and tripped and fell into it, idk, all I know is that I didn't go in willingly). as I was going down, everything started like, peeling and decaying like in the movie. and I knew when the elevator stopped pyramid head would open the door, I just knew it, and there was nowhere to go, and just as the elevator stopped I woke up in a cold sweat. it was pretty terrifying. :( and now I want to watch the movie but my DVD is at home

Only thing is, the place is slow as a bitch when I'm trying to edit and it hates html. Either it eats my html or doesn't accept it. For example, my font is a darkish lavender when I snark. The html code for it is like CC99FF, something like that. GOOGLE DID NOT ACCEPT THAT. I had to go through the whole goddamn My Inner Life page and change all the codes to the word "purple." It took nearly three fucking hours. Also when I tried to make the font size bigger, some sentences got rearranged and I fixed as much as I could, but be warned that there might still be some sentences in the wrong order.

But yeah, all I could manage today was putting MIL and the footnotes up. I'll get to Skieloon next week. Also, I'm currently snarking another fic so when that's done with I'll post that on the site as well.

By the way, since googlesites is a giant bitch, perhaps someone can recommend a different free webhosting place that I can use? Not angelfire or tripod though, I hate their ad placement and from what I can tell you can't move the ads around (I could be wrong, though). Something that's a geocities clone, preferably. I really loved geocities. I could html anything without restrictions or slowdowns.

So, for NaNo the last thing I wrote was on Friday, like 500-something words (538, I think) bringing my total to like 6000-something. Aaaand I haven't touched it since GO ME

Saturday skyped with girlyarm for seven hours. Due to a lucky accident I recorded the whole thing. We pretty much snarked badfic and badfic authors the whole time. It was fun. <3

Sunday the roomie and I went into the city and saw an Off-Broadway performance of the Playboy of the Western World. Good times.

Monday my Latin professor didn't show up so no class, woohoo. Monday night went to the football stadium with my friend Kiera and her suitemates to see the meteor shower. Got extra credit for my astronomy class which was good. Kinda made up for the fact that I didn't see one damn meteor and Kiera saw two. Now we had gotten there at around 11:20 and left sometime between 12:15 and 1:00 and went back to Kiera's suite. We decided to wait until three in the morning then go back outside. We watched Fanboys, which is a glorious movie let me tell you, and it ended at around 2:30ish. We went back outside, stared at the sky for a bit, saw nothing, then Kiera and her friends decided to go to bed, so I walked back to my dorm. Got back at three, finished some homework, went outside at four, still didn't see any meteors. Then I went back inside and read a book for a bit before going to bed at five because I was bored. I had originally planned on staying up all night. Anywho, have class at nine on Tues so I set my alarm for seven to give me extra time to wake up and eat something substantial buuut I slept through my alarm. My internal alarm clock is magical, though, so I woke up on my own at 8:10.

The rest of Tuesday was ok. Exhausted all morning and afternoon but in the evening I was really awake. Also, I was gripped by a drawing frenzy and drew one of my NaNo characters and planned the color scheme for her and her outfit.

Today did things for Newman Club in between classes. We had a bake sale. :3 Other than that today was normal.

So. Um, yeah. Gonna watch some LPs maybe, study for my astronomy test tomorrow, then try to get to bed early.

Yeah, didn't NaNo yesterday because I was watching Are You Afraid of the Dark? for six hours. Then today I got hit by a bout of apathy (which happens far too often than I am comfortable with) but I got over it in two hours which is really damn quick. But then I couldn't quite figure out what to write but I started a passage and hopefully I'll think of a way to finish it tomorrow.

Buuut the passage was like some horror novel type shit I don't even know. So, like, so far it's an action/adventure humor story with horror thrown in.

Well I was thinking of Stephen King before I started writing so it's not surprising. :/

OMG.

OMG OMG OMG.

BOONDOCK SAINTS II OH MY GOD SO GOOD SO SO SO GOOD SO CHEESY BUT SO GOOD.

AND THE ENDING? BEST. FUCKING. EVER.

I mean, it started out kinda lame, like, "Eeehhhh, I dunno, this is kinda awkward, it's like they've all lost their touch, I dunno" but the further in it got it was like, "omg omg OMG HOLY SHIT YES YES YES I AM SO HAPPY"

But obviously you have to already be a fan to enjoy this. Because it was kinda cheesy. But fun! It was a lot of fun. It will never ever be as good as the first movie but it was awesome in its own special way. Lots of laughs and I was reduced to tears twice. And again, the ending just made it completely worth it. I AM NOT SPOILING THE ENDING THOUGH SO DON'T ASK.

So, yeah, long story short I am the happiest girl in the whole world and I am going to watch movie one and hug my peacoat and BSII hat and dream sweet, sweet dreams all night long. Catch you on the flip side. <3
