Had a full day today. It was quite nice.

Went to my high school for Alumni Day. Went with my friend Maggie. Saw some old friends, bothered all the teachers we wanted to bother... it was good times. Went to a diner afterward for lunch, then after that we went back to Kberg to pick up Maggie's brother after school.

Went back to Maggie's place and me and her watched Supernatural all afternoon. It was awesomeeee. Watched a bunch of season 2 episodes. Fun times. Damn, I love the Trickster. I wish I had season 3, I wanna watch some Mystery Spot. That's such a great episode.

After that, dinner with Maggie's fam. They are so hilarious and awesome, I need to have dinner with them more often.

After dinner, Maggie and I had no idea what else to do with ourselves so we decided to go see New Moon on a whim.

MY THOUGHTS ON NEW MOON

I liked it. :|

Now, I didn't actually read the book so the only things I knew about it were through parodies, comics, and [info]cleolinda. As in, my knowledge was "EDWARD LEAVES, BELLA IS SAD AND THERE ARE BLANK PAGES YEAH WAY TO KILL TREES SMEYER, JACOB'S THERE, EVERYONE DECIDES TO COMMIT SUICIDE YEAH I DUNNO"

What I really liked, first of all, was that is was better stylistically than Twilight. It generally looked better (the long shots of everyone staring were a bit excessive but eh whatever I'm just happy that fucking blue tint is gone), the vampire running was done better, the wolves could have looked worse, and the dialogue wasn't as weird. Also I really liked the soundtrack.

Second of all, Edward was gone for a lot of the movie which was awesome because auuugh his lipstick and abuse no thank you

Third and best? JACOB'S ABS. Oh god the kid is fucking gorgeous I don't even care I don't even care. It was even better when he cut off his hair. With the long hair I was like "he's so cute omg" and then when it was short it was like getting struck by a bolt of DO WANT. Not only that, Jacob in general is so much more desirable than Edward in that he actually has a healthy and wholesome relationship with Bella. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW SHE CAN CHOOSE EDWARD. I mean, I know in book 3 Jacob becomes kind of an asshole but that's because Smeyer is a douchebag and made him OOC I REFUSE TO BELIEVE ASSHOLE JACOB IS THE ~TRUE~ JACOB FUCK YOU SMEYER

And the Volturi? Fucking awesome. They were so crazy.

So yeah, even though Bella was kind of infuriating and Edward existed, I liked it. I'm def gonna see it again. Maybe next time I won't be so distracted by Jacob's abs and maybe I can actually be snarky. The furthest I got was saying "Good fucking job, Edward" after he SHOVES BELLA INTO GLASS to protect her from Jasper. Like, seriously, GOOD FUCKING JOB SHOVING THE APPARENT LOVE OF YOUR LIFE ACROSS THE FUCKING ROOM AND INJURING HER YOU DUMB SHIT

Oh and put your fucking shirt on Edward Cullen you are pale and hideous

So! Got to the train station without a hitch, had a smooth ride to Penn, figured out the subways, and got a liiiitle bit lost getting to the theater but we did get there eventually.

My friend Kiera and I waited on line with other ticket winners for about an hour. We got there at 7:20, the line started moving at around 7:45 and only moved five feet every fifteen minutes. It was ok, though, we were surrounded by some cool people who we chatted with.

At around 8:20, however we were told there weren't any seats left in the theater. A bunch of people left and the more die-hard of us stayed, hoping that they were trying to thin out the crowd and would let the rest of us in. Yeah, no. We waited a bit and a guy working with PLJ (the radio station we won the tickets from) gave out free beanie hats. They're black and say The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day on the front and Veritas and Aequitas with a cross on the back. Pretty cool. Made me feel a bit better about traveling into the city for nothing, haha. Y'know, even though the hat is kind of cheap and makes me look like a tool while wearing it.

But yeah, after that we went back to Penn, caught a 9:15 train, and now I'm back at the dorm.

I am definitely going to see it at midnight when it comes out, though. And I will wear my cheap placation hat with pride.

I'm seeing The Boondock Saints: All Saints Day tomorrow night. Won tickets in a contest. I never win anything.

I AM VERY EXCITED, OMG

Also, first time planning a trip to the city all by myself, it is pretty awesome. I have my campus shuttle bus schedule and the train times all mapped out and I think I know which subway to take to get to the theater. Should be fun! Hopefully I don't get me and my friend I'm bringing lost, ahaha. Usually when I go into the city its with people who know what they're doing. Buuut I've been there enough times by now that this is hardly an issue. I am pretty sure I know what to do.

Also, it would be SO SO SO AWESOME if Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus were there. c: I mean, New York premiere, yo. Gotta come to New York, man.

Anywho I just spent like five hours in the computer lab doing a shitton of archeological data analysis and hypothesis formation and I am very very tired. Bed time!

Oh, before I go, I will definitely update tomorrow night or Wednesday and tell y'all if this movie is worth it. Although keep in mind that one of my favorite movies of all time is Silent Hill so I probably should not be allowed to have an opinion on anything ever anyway.

LET'S MAKE THIS QUICK, 'CAUSE I'M TIRED AND WANNA GO TO BED

So, me and my friend Meghan slept over at our buddy Alyssa's house Wednesday night. We made butterbeer and had fun times.

Woke up at around 5:30 yesterday morning to take the 6:17 train into the city. Got ready, packed all our nerd shit, left the house, got bagels, and got on the train. The ride took a little less than an hour. So we then took a subway to 50th St and walked to W54th where the theater was. A bunch of fans were already there but we still got a good spot right in front. Oh, and we were smart and brought chairs so we set them up and hung out. We took turns leaving to go to the bathroom in the hotel behind us or to go to the cafe down the block for food and drinks. There were these two girls next to us who we made friends with. :3 They were awesome.

By the afternoon it was getting pretty crowded. We folded up our chairs at 2 and stood the rest of the time. Across the street they were setting up the posters and the red carpet and then some of the workers cut up a part of it and came over to the crowd and handed out pieces. We got a piece! x3 Yaaay! Oh, and some lady was handing out Tom Felton buttons and I got one of those, too. Hee.

News people started showing up at around 3 and Fox 5 was the first there. The reporter, Julie Chang, was passing by us and I said to her that I liked her shoes, which got her to chat with us and borrow props from us. Alyssa was wearing a Hogwarts tie and Harry glasses and I had a wand, so she used those. :3 The three of us were on TV and everything. Good times!

Mugglenet's Emerson Spartz and Andrew Sims were there too, of course. The girls we met were huuuge fans of Emerson and had a poster that said they were Mugglenet's greatest fans, haha. He came over and signed their poster for them and they were interviewed by Andrew, too. :3 Fun stuff.

A bunch of other news stations were there too, obviously, and a couple made sure to get shots of all the screaming fans. Although the only ones I recognized were the BBC and AMC.

At around 5, we were finally able to move the barrier into the street. It was a mad rush. Meg and I got pushed back a little but Alyssa was holding on to the bars for dear life, haha. We were all smushed but it was ok, 'cause it was abnormally cold yesterday. We were warmed up nicely by that. The only thing was, the road wasn't closed off. We only took up the shoulder. So whenever a truck went by everyone would start booing, haha.

Finally, at around 6, famous people started arriving. Now, we were directly across from the theater's entrance. Most of the actors were dropped off at the other end of the block. Dan Radcliffe arrived first for once and I believe he started signing autographs down on the other end but he didn't get far until he was ushered over to the red carpet. Tom Felton (who I loooove) got halfway down the line but when he got near our section the dumb shits behind us started pushing and shoving. Tom's bodyguards grabbed him and took him across the street. >( We in the front were pissed. And the cops kept trying to tell everyone to step back but people decided to push forward instead, which caused me and Meg to get shoved back a little more.

But then, Emma Watson hopped out of her car and started signing things on our side. Alyssa managed to get her autograph and even chatted briefly with her. Emma said something like, "I feel really sorry for you guys, standing around like this all day." I love her, she's such a sweetie.

Rupert Grint tried the same thing as Emma but there was insane shoving again and he was dragged away before he could sign anything. Woe.

Across the street we saw a bunch of people. What's-His-Face-Who-Plays-Dumbledore-But-Isn't-Richard-Harris-And-Is-Therefore-Not-Awesome went straight into the theater without even looking at anyone. Kelsey Grammer and family went by. Other celebs who I don't care about went by. Daniel, when he was done talking to reporters, rushed right in, too. Alan Rickman stopped and waved at us, though. <333333 Oh my God, I love that man so muuuuuch <33333 Aaaahhhh~! <3333

Bonnie Wright passed by and signed autographs on that side. She didn't turn around. :/

After that, we saw Emma go in and then I got shoved back a bit more so I could hardly see anything. Not too long after that all the celebs were in the theater and before we knew it, the crowd was dispersing and the reporters were gone. At around 8 we went down the block to a street vendor and got hot dogs and drinks, then we went back and set up our chairs again. Felt wonderful to sit. Carpet and posters across the street were already gone and we weren't even gone five minutes. There was maybe about 20 fans left, waiting. Chatted with a group of girls next to us. Security guys came over about thirty minutes later, put a barrier around us, and had us fold up our chairs to make more room because the crowd started getting big again. Security was all, "If you're calm and nice the actors will come over and sign everything."

When the actors and other celebs did come out, what happened? Tom, Dan, and Bonnie were rushed straight to their cars and set off. Chevy Chase came out and tried to come over to us but his people practically dragged him into his car and sped off with him. David Yates waved a bit as he left. And when Alan came out it was awesome. Everyone started chanting his name and he was grinning and made he sure to stop and wave at us before leaving. Too bad he wasn't allowed to come over. When Rupert came out, though, he signed autographs. He started at the middle and went down the opposite side from us. ): Everyone on our side was crying. He shot us an apologetic look as his people got him into his car.

We thought Emma would surely go down the whole line but she didn't come out. We realized she was probably rushed out while we were crying over Rupert. We were soon told to get lost and we headed back to Penn, hopped on a train that was leaving in two minutes, and got back to Alyssa's at around... 12:30? Her mom recorded the 10:00 news and we watched ourselves before going to bed.

Oh, and guess what? Alyssa's mom informed us that Alyssa's uncle/godfather, a police chief in the city, could have gotten us tickets. >( The kicker is, Alyssa told him a few weeks ago that she was going to the premiere and he did not remember her telling him so. We're gonna try to get tickets to the Deathly Hallows premiere and after party (surely one of the two films will be in New York, y'know?).

OH, AND HERE'S A FEW PICS

I saw Watchmen Friday night. Regular theater, not Imax, but I'm seeing it in Imax on the 20th with Lauren so it's quite alright. :3

Actually, I almost didn't see it. I called home after class on Friday, chatted with my mom about... something, I dunno, then asked how much Imax tickets generally are. She asked why I wanted to know, I said I'm seeing it with Lauren during her spring break and was just curious. Mom's all, "Oh, Dad and Adam and Alex and Kevin are seeing it tonight. It's not in Imax though-" and I was all, "WHAT? AND NO ONE INVITED ME?" So I hung up on her and called Dad and asked why he didn't tell me they were seeing Watchmen. He was all, "Oh, but you're always out on Fridays." I was all, "WATCHMEN, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. I AM PROBABLY THE ONLY PERSON IN THIS FAMILY WHO'S READ THE GRAPHIC NOVEL. YOU CAN'T MAKE SILLY ASSUMPTIONS. D:" Dad says Alex is getting the tickets and he calls him to see if he can get one for me. He can. :) Then Mom picks me up after work, makes us a quick dinner, and we're out of there by 6:00 to see the 7:00 show at Westbury Stadium.

So. The movie. I loved it. Love love love love love. The opening credits were just awesome and stuck with me more than anything else, haha. Bob Dylan certainly helped.

But, yeah, I cannot even begin to describe the awesome. This is definitely one of those movies that's kinder to the people who know the story already, so I enjoyed it very much. I recognized so many panels. <3 Of course, Adam and Kevin didn't like it ("There wasn't enough action, this movie sucks, waaaaah") and their dislike turned me into a Watchmen snob. I CALLED THEM PLEBES, HOLY SHIT.

I have to admit though, by the end it was kinda anticlimactic, but it didn't bother me as much as it bothered Adam and Kevin. I went home very happy. I can't wait to see it again!

Rest of my weekend was chill. Family party on Saturday at Aunt Sue's. Hung out with the adults 'cause Ricky and Kristi and Johnny were all working, haha. Pretty fun, actually.

Today was depressing. :D Mostly because I just hate Sundays in general. You know, you have the rest of the week ahead of you and you have to wake up early and all that the next morning... ugh. Watched "Manos" The Hands of Fate and did Latin homework. :/ Dinner at home, then got back to the dorm and played Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness before Mass. I HATE THIS GAME. I AM NOT EVEN 15 MINUTES IN AND I HATE IT.

Oh, by the way, I've been ordering a lot of shit, and it all came in. So I have a new MST3K DVD, Repo! on DVD, Susie Q on DVD, an Arsene Lupin book, and a new PS2 controller. Gooood stuff.

So, yeah, gotta dry my hair, then bed. G'night~!

So, earlier this evening I had an urge to watch some Japanese horror movies. :D

Watched Chakushin ari (One Missed Call) first. It was good. Very confusing but good. Although I was watching it on youtube and the quality was awful whenever the scene was dark. As in, most of the movie I was squinting. But it did make me jump at one point and they built up tension nicely. :)

And I just finished watching Suicide Circle (or Suicide Club). MY MIND EXPLODED. I just... NO WORDS. THERE ARE NO WORDS. You have to see it for yourself. I loved it but holy fuck, there were moments where my jaw dropped and my mind shattered. Really, you have to see it. There's catchy music and everything!

Next on the list is Battle Royale. :3

(By the way, careful while perusing Snowblood Apple. It's addictive. Er, at least I think so. I can read their reviews all night long.)

[EDIT]

Just finished Battle Royale. It was amazing. ♥ You totally need to see it if you haven't already.

Now, BEDTIME.
