So! I got into this debate about religion and homosexuality with this guy on deviantArt. This girl made a stamp that basically said God loves everyone- gay, straight, transsexual, etc- and I replied and gushed with agreement and and slight anecdata. Artist comments back with some similar slight anecdata. All is good and happy.

Guy replies to my comment and basically says, "Oh yeah well I'm not saying I hate gay people and God hates gay people but... well, I hate gay people and God hates gay people."

He posts one lone link and generalizes all over the place and seems to think that unless a gay person has been scientifically studied, their experiences don't count. He also says homosexuality and pedophilia are comparable, which is just stupid. I'm surprised I remained as patient as I did. He's also shit-stirring in other comments.

I'm indeed not going to reply back to him because I've been thinking about his replies all day and they've been distracting me and making me feel upset and I want him out of my mind. It's funny, though, I really don't hold anything against him (which is surprising me but, uh, I guess I'm filled with Christ's love or something, I don't even know).

In other news, two classes tomorrow and then back home for Thanksgiving, woohoo. Also gonna see New Moon sometime this weekend. I am planning on yelling "FURSPLOSION" at every opportune moment. I hope I can anger some Twihards, that would be just fab.

Finally changed my default icon! I've been meaning to for ages because bunny!Link was cute but there wasn't enough color and I kinda got sick of him. I think that one may have been my default since I first created this journal, which is a long time, haha.

I am feeling good right now, not gonna lie. Listening to Iron & Wine and perusing pretty LoZ icons is so nice and relaxing. ♥

Speaking of LoZ, I've had an art block for the past month and then two days ago I managed to draw an amazing pic of Zelda. It is so awesome and I am very proud of myself. Sketch is finished, inking will be done as soon as possible, then scanning and coloring on gimp after that. I am very excited. I think I will attempt a pretty background, too. :3

Also, I resumed my second playthrough of Metroid Prime last week and I just... did... something. Oh, yeah. Plasma beam. Omega Pirate is next. :( And I am getting 100% I swear I am. I have a checklist for missiles, energy tanks, and power bombs. I'm doing the scans on my own, though. Luckily I'm a paranoid scanner, haha.

Mm. Feel kinda crappy. Maybe I'll do my homework in a couple of minutes and make some tea and get to bed early. I went to bed later than I wanted last night and I slept badly and I've been out of it all day.

Oh, and my laptop charger is broken or something, I have to apply pressure to it to get it to charge and sometimes even that doesn't work (like right now). I ordered a new one on Sunday. I hope it comes in soon, I really need it.

I have yet to see a really good prank. :/ Although some of the comments in the latest fandomsecrets entry made me lol. Otherwise... yeah, no.

Anywho, my insomnia was awful last night, holy shit. I usually try to get to bed around 1-1:30 but I was still wide awake. Wide awake and tired, which is the most awful combination in the world. :( So after a little bit I decided to watch the Fox and the Hound and I cried far too much. AND I THOUGHT THE CRYING WOULD HELP ME FALL ASLEEP, LOL SILLY ME. Movie ended at around... um... 2:45-3:00? Aaaand I didn't fall asleep until 4:30-5:00, and I had to wake up at 7:45. I could hardly get out of bed.

And tomorrow I have my writing midterm, woe. I hate midterms. And this one is so late. Whaaaat?

OH, ALSO. Humanities class. Got a C+ on my paper. ;_____; Worst grade so far this semester. Professor Sills is a really hard grader but I can't seem to hate him, because he's a fellow hardcore Lord of the Rings fan and he's just plain awesome. Damn. Speaking of, I really wanna read LotR again but I don't want to commit, haha.

Mmm. Yeah. I have some Greek homework to finish and fanfic research to do for that Gerudo-centric Zelda fic I mentioned before at some point.

Finally got Latios and Mesprit. Latios wasn't that bad, but Mesprit? I had to face it three times because I used up all my ultraballs the first time (about 40 of 'em). I restarted, bought some more ultraballs, faced it again, and used all my ultraballs again ('bout 60 this time). Then I got 90 ultraballs and decided if that didn't work I'd kill the damn thing and do a tradeback with someone. Used 85 ultraballs before I caught the bastard. Named it Douchebag because I haaaate it.

Anywho, went out with Lauren, her boyfriend, Alyssa, and Alyssa's sister. We went to the mall where I got a Zelda:OoT shirt, Zelda mints, an Invader Zim scarf, and an Invader Zim button. Oh, and I bought Portal because cousin Johnny failed me. Luckily it was only $9.99. And I didn't have to buy the whole Orange Box. Portal's installing now and hopefully it works. We shall see.

Anyway, after the mall we went bowling. Oh boy, that was fun times. It was karaoke night. :| We bowled like... four games? Just about? Theeeen Alyssa and sister went home and me, Lauren, and her boyfriend got ice cream. Aaaand now I'm at home and watching Mythbusters with my dad. 8D

So. NEVER AGAIN, WIND WAKER. NEVER AGAIN. Even though I know that in a year or two I'll be eager to play it again and I will and I will loathe it.

Oh my God. I have an awesome idea for a Zelda AU fic.

Ok, so, it’ll take place in our present day, in a high school. And Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf will be teachers.

Zelda will be the principal and teach some English course maybe? And, and, Link will be a Physics teacher, ‘cause that’s ironic. Oh, and Ganondorf can be a math teacher because of exponents (“Ten... to the POWER OF THREE, AHAHAHAHAHA!”).

So, so, so, one day, Link is either fired/quits/I dunno or something, yeah? And and he’s gone for like a year, then he goes back to the school to see if he can get his job back and he finds out that GANONDORF IS THE NEW PRINCIPAL, OH NOES. Link contacts Zelda and she tells him that Ganondorf took over and got the school board on his side and they fired her. So, they decide to overthrow him by DRESSING UP AS STUDENTS AND PRETENDING TO BE TRANSFERS, OMG. Zelda dresses up as Sheik and Link, uh, I dunno yet but he has a disguise.

So then, at the end, at this assembly, Link and Zelda jump onto the stage and TEAR OFF THEIR STUDENT CLOTHES to reveal... CORPORATE CASUAL ATTIRE! And everyone realizes that Sheik kid is actually a girl and their former principal and that Whatever-Link’s-Disguise-Name-Is kid is actually that crazy Physics teacher that quit/was fired/whatever. AND THEN LINK AND ZELDA GRAB WOODEN SWORDS AND BEAT GANONDORF UP, AAAAHHHHHHH

But it turns out Ganondorf used blackmail to control the school board and he’s arrested. And Link and Zelda are arrested for assault. But this is fanfiction, so they somehow get all the charges against them dropped and then they go back to teaching at the school. AND THEY MAKE OUT AND SHIT IN BROOM CLOSETS, MUCH TO THE JANITORS’ DISMAY.

So, uh, what do you think?

And I got to pick up my Aragorn action figure and Furuba plushies for Open House tomorrow. (I'm gonna help run the SCAFFU table and I offered to bring in shit that represents our club. So Aragorn, Yuki, and Tohru it is! And maybe Dosa Dosa. And Charizard. And some manga. And my One Ring, which I'll wear and flaunt and pretend to be invisible with. STOP JUDGING ME. D:)

Um. Yes. Hopefully that Mike guy will be there so I can get my JtHM back (I let him borrow it).

There's a study abroad in Italy this summer that has a focus on archeology! Which is awesome as hell, 'cause, y'know. Archeology. Also, had my Latin midterm today. It was... eh. Just eh.

And I had a small chat with Professor Ferris and I'm probably gonna start Greek in the Spring. If I have the same classes as this semester, I can most likely handle Greek on top of them. And then next fall I'll be done with my Latin and I can take both Greek and Italian or something. :P Or maybe I'll take a writing class? Or an art class?

Speaking of art, I've been drawing Zelda like crazy. I keep drawing her using different styles, too, but her pose always ends up the same. :/ Hm.

And gimp is still a hater. Bleh.

Debate Wednesday. I should know if I get a ticket tomorrow. :) I hope I do, I already have my outfit picked out.
